I am directed by Mr. Secretary Griffiths to transmit to you a copy of letter from the Secretary of the llong Kong War kemorial Fund asking for information regarding the various forms of assistance and pensions available for people in the United Kingdom.

2. Mr. Griffiths would be grateful if he could be furnished with details of all forms of National Insurance and advice as to how such assistance would be affected by an award under the Hong Kong Memorial Fund,

3.- He would also be glad to know whether the position regarding tirs, Carr referred to in para raph 4 of the enclosed letter, is correct in the event of a grant being made in her ᏟᏞᎾ
